Mission: Women’s Holistic Counseling & Consulting is actively engaged in community outreach. The main goals of outreach are to (1) empower marginalized communities to obtain equitable access to needed resources, (2) celebrate the unique cultural strengths of communities,(3) provide psycho-education on BIPOC specific topics to increase environmental safety and (3) help communities to embrace healing, autonomy and reclaim resiliency. Sliding scale options are available for small community organizations, religious institutions, small non-profits and student organizations.
Types of outreach
Presentations
Presentations are psycho-education based. They are interactive and increase the understanding about specific topics. They focus on improving mental health and skills for participants. Presentations are often requested by organizations, religious institutions, student groups, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. Examples include coping with stress, empowering families, and self-care as healing intervention.
Workshops
Workshops are brief skills based courses. Workshops are often focused on one topic, such as coping with depression, setting healthy boundaries and more. Women’s Holistic Counseling & Consulting provides a variety of workshops. Please check back for future workshop offerings.
Partnerships & Programs
Partnerships and programs involve intentional collaboration between Dr. Glover and community constituents. Examples include adding a psychological evaluator to a grant, building a holistic health program within a community, or creating a partnership between two different industries (ex. farming and mental health). Dr. Glover is always open to building partnerships and coming up with initiative ways to support BIPOC communities. Lets connect!
